IMPORTANT NOTE: We can work with ANY and EVERY insurance provider! Many insurance companies will try to ‘steer’ you towards a specific body shop. These shops may give discounts to the insurance company – but this may affect the quality of your repair. Ask yourself this: Is your insurance company looking out for YOUR best interests…or ITS bottom line? It’s important to know that YOU have the right to have your vehicle repaired by a body shop of YOUR CHOICE!
Every day, we work with many different insurance providers. Part of the great customer service offered by Whaley’s Body Shop is that we can assist you as you work through the sometimes tedious paperwork. Not only can we work with your insurance company, we can also help with any other insurance company that may be involved – for example, if you’ve been in an accident and the other party is responsible for the repairs. Here is a brief rundown of what you can expect:
1. Insurance approval on original estimate- Any involved insurance company must approve the repair estimate before work begins. You will need to provide a copy of this estimate to our staff before work begins.
2. Insurance approval on any supplement – All original estimates are created by looking closely at the damaged vehicle. However, it is not uncommon to discover additional damage as the vehicle is taken apart for repair. In these instances, it is necessary that we submit a ‘supplemental damage report’ to your insurance company. Before we will be able to begin repair on this damage, we will have to have approval from your insurance company.
After completing the above steps, we can then move on to Structural Repairs, Paint , Reassembly and Extras…
“No insurer or insurer representative shall recommend the use of a particular motor vehicle repair service without clearly informing the claimant that (i) the claimant is under no obligation to use the recommended repair service, (ii) the claimant may use the repair service of the claimant’s choice, and (iii) the amount determined by the insurer to be payable under the policy will be paid regardless of whether or not the claimant uses the recommended repair service.”
Bottom line -YOU choose the body shop that you feel is the best to repair your vehicle!
